I’ve noticed a growing pattern: hidden fees buried in SaaS terms – auto-renewals, cancellation charges, “maintenance” costs.
Most users only realize weeks or months later, and by then it’s too late. I’ve seen people lose $50–$500 on a single subscription just from the fine print.
Why is it so hard to spot these charges up front? Is it dark-pattern design, or just that nobody reads the T&Cs?
Curious to hear if anyone here has strategies/tools for catching these before they bite.
(Tomorrow I’ll share something that might help with this problem.)
