人们在90年代是否担心互联网的效率?
“效率”这个词可能用得不太恰当。我无法理解由于人工智能的影响,公司将会变得多么“高效”。在90年代,当互联网开始广泛普及时,人们感到“担忧”,但那时许多事情仍然处于初步阶段,比如人工智能的概念。而现在呢?我不知道在人工智能之后,人类生产力的未来会是什么样子。
所以我对未来的样子感到困惑。如果这种效率的提升持续增长,即使只是几年,我们将需要花费越来越多的钱来跟上,对吧?另一种选择是我们转向四天(或三天?)工作周,或者实施基本收入,或者其他什么?如果我们不匹配这种支出,公司将会整合——无论是在人员还是竞争方面。
接下来会发生什么?未来会怎样?30年前是否有类似的概念,而我只是无缘无故地担忧?

“Efficiency” might be the wrong word. I can’t wrap my head around how “efficient” companies are/will be as a result of AI. In the 90s when the internet became broadly available, people became “concerned” but things were still on the horizon, like the concept of AI. Now? I don’t know what is beyond AI in terms of human productivity.<p>So I’m confused about what the future will look like. If this level of efficiency compounds, even for a few years, we would be required to spend a compounding amount of money to match it, right? The alternative is that we move to a 4 (or 3?) day work week, or UBI, or what? If we don’t match the spending, companies will consolidate - both in terms of personnel and competition.<p>What is going to happen? What is next? Was there any concept similar to this 30 years ago and I’m just worried for no reason?
