I want to give people an alternative to Google Drive, iCloud, and other commercial products. It should be:
- Reliable: maybe using Google Cloud or AWS under the hood.
- Cheaper: maybe using Deep Archive.
- Easy to use: background backup like Google Photos.
- Private: client-side encryption.
I have a prototype to try (https://megafrost.cloud) but it would need to be part of a proper nonprofit organization rather than just an indy developer like me.
Do you think this makes sense? What would be the first steps?
