We are hiring for remote engineering roles and are finding it increasingly difficult to assess candidate quality now that AI tools can assist with take-home tasks, online tests, and even live remote interviews.<p>On one hand, AI is becoming part of everyday engineering work and we do not want to ban it outright. On the other, traditional signals seem weaker, and it is harder to evaluate core engineering fundamentals versus tool-assisted output.
