唐纳德·特朗普和左翼在一个问题上都是完全错误的：如果人民没有武器，任何政府都无法被自己的人民推翻。<p>在俄罗斯和伊朗，这些深受民众厌恶的独裁政权能够轻易维持权力，因为他们的人民没有武器。独裁政权只需要不到百分之一的人口支持，只要这个独裁政权拥有武器，而人民却没有。<p>被无武装人民推翻的政府，都是在那些政府不反击的情况下发生的。<p>这就是为什么枪支权利对美国的自由和民主如此重要——无论是左翼还是右翼的领导人都害怕人民的反抗能力。枪支权利是美国人能够保持自由的唯一原因。

Donald Trump and the left are both completely wrong on one point: no government can be overthrown by its own people if they are not armed with guns.<p>Deeply unpopular dictatorships in Russia and Iran are able to easily retain power as their people are unarmed. Dictatorships need less than one percent of the population to support them as long as that dictatorship has guns, but the people do not.<p>The only governments that unarmed people have overthrown have been in cases where that government allows it by not fighting back.<p>This is why gun rights are so important to freedom and democracy in America – both left wing and right wing leaders are afraid of the people’s ability to fight back. Gun rights are the sole reason Americans have stayed free as long as we have.
