我下周将作为全职W2员工加入一家位于旧金山的小型初创公司，团队大约有10人。我是一名软件开发人员。我的工作涉及一个高度监管的领域（如ITAR、SOC2等）。
我的经理（也是首席技术官）发短信让我在第一天带上个人笔记本电脑。这让我觉得有些不安，如果需要的话，我不会安装任何软件或访问除工资之外的任何网站。
如果他们拒绝提供设备，我该如何处理这种情况？这是一个面对面的工作。

I am joining a small ~10 person startup in SF next week as a full time W2 employee. I am a software dev. The work is in a very regulated space (ITAR/ SOC2/etc) type stuff.<p>My manager (who is the CTO) texted me to bring my personal laptop in on the first day. This already seems like a red-flag and if needed I will not install any software or visit any sites beyond payroll.<p>How should I handle this situation if they refuse to provide me equipment. This is a in-person role.
